Session for the day: Join Jez and Vishal for this fascinating road trip into the development of behavioural science in business over the last 10 years. Jez will answer questions such as how do you get people who work in pig abattoirs to wash their hands? How does painting the walls of a canteen pink make construction workers behave more safely? And how can baby faces spray painted onto shop shutters reduce anti-social behaviour?
His new book, Ripple is about how small behaviour changes can have wide-reaching effects in the real world. By applying behavioural science in your working life, you can have positive ripple effects on the world around you.
While nudging is now commonplace in politics, most of our daily interactions with companies, products, and services have not yet been transformed with behavioural science. Doing so is often a messy process but, armed with insights from this talk, you’ll have the practical toolkit to get started. Through storytelling and practical tips, Jez will take you on a journey across the globe which will leave you inspired to start applying behavioural science to improve the world around you.
With over 10 years of experience of practically applying behavioural science in business, Jez has established himself as one of the world's leading practitioners in the field. He is the Founder of Cowry Consuting, which works with some of the biggest brands and businesses in the world including Amazon, Sky, Tesco, HSBC, Aegon, Fidelity and O2. He is the author of a new book, Ripple - the big effects of small behaviour changes in business and is also an Honorary Research Fellow at the Dept of Psychology at City University, London.
This session will be a webinar-style discussion hosted on Google Meet and may be recorded for a wider audience. Please RSVP below if you would like to join the conversation.
